About Us

My name is Joslyn, aka Auntie.

I'm a professionally trained chef and singer with a background in online marketing.  Naturally, I became a dog trainer! I've been a dog mom for 18 years and have had the great pleasure of loving 3 different "packs" in my life. I'm currently the mom to Hazel, 8 and Nita, a baby cattle dog! Nita is my training partner! They have the most grand personalities. If I have found one thing to be true over the years, it's that a happy smiling dog is the best thing on earth.  

The making of me: As I exited culinary school in my mid 30's and entered into kitchens where, "Yes Chef", was the only thing I had time to say all day long; I slowly transitioned into working full-time with dogs and cooking for people privately. It’s in that balance that I found pure bliss in my work and “Auntie” was created.  

I’ve dubbed myself Auntie, because of my fond memories of childhood, I suppose.  I want your fur babies to feel the same love they would if they were hanging with their favorite Aunt learning new things!  I can help you help them grow and learn as they take in life with you. 


Our services: MyPetCalledLife offers a wonderful balance of force-free, positive reinforcement training. I am a body language and behavior specialist offering a unique style of positive reinforcement using music therapy as part of the training. We help with the basic and the most extreme needs.  Helping you to bring the best out of your pup! I offer a balance of experience with both young and elderly dogs, both big and small.  MyPetCalledLife offers it all.  I'm a master potty trainer, excellent with basic obedience, behavior modification and socialization.
